Confirmation is a chance to publicly acknowledge your faith in Jesus Christ and proclaim your faith as your own. It's not the “end” of one’s faith journey, but it affirms you are on a personal journey to know Christ more.
Participation in Confirmation is an optional part of our Middle School Ministry. Regardless of the choice to go through confirmation, all 8th-grade students will transition to the High School Ministry as a small group in the spring.
What is the Confirmation Process? The process often begins in 6th grade in the Middle School Ministry, though students may join as late as their 8th-grade year.
Throughout your time in middle school, you will have opportunities to embrace core elements of your faith during weekly worship, messages, small group discussions, and annual retreats.
Once you've completed your Confirmation requirements, you will have several opportunities to discuss your choice to be confirmed with the Middle School Coordinator, your small group, and your small group leader(s). Whether or not you choose to be confirmed, April through May of your 8th-grade year will be a preview of High School Ministry.
