About The Story:

Some may think that reading the Bible is too boring, too religious, too irrelevant, too long. But The Story is different. And what a story! The Bible is filled with stories of love, war, birth, death, and miracles. There’s poetry, culture, history, and theology. It’s a supreme novel, a book of sociology, a history lesson – all woven around one, eternal conflict: good versus evil. This story offers a glimpse of people in a different time and place who are yet very much like us today. The Story opens a door to truth that can be found nowhere else. That’s why the entire Hosanna! family will be on a singular path of spiritual growth, reading, and studying The Story from now through June 2010. We will uncover truths as rock solid today as they were in those distant times. As this great pilgrimage begins, we encourage you to prepare for worship by setting aside time each week to read The Story, a seamless version of the Bible in chronological order. Special bookmarks which lay out the whole schedule can be found at Daily Bread Books or Guest Services.
If you have picked up your copy of The Story, you have held in your hands the most important tool for a journey we will be taking together, traveling the lands and meeting the people of God’s Word. The Story is our primary text for weekend preaching. If you don’t have a copy of The Story yet, books are available for only $9.99 ($10.70 including tax) at Daily Bread Books. HALO kids will receive a complimentary book of their own version called 'THE STORY FOR KIDS'. Every family will get weekly discussion starters and small group curriculum will be provided. So it’s The Whole Bible. The Whole Church. The Whole Year. Together we’ll encounter the story of Scripture in a whole new way!

“This is going to be an extraordinary season of spiritual growth at Hosanna! Please invite your neighbors, friends, and co-workers. Your invitation has the potential to be a life-changing blessing.”
- Lead Pastor Bill Bohline
